The basis of Tibetan Buddhism is the investigation and examination of the mind, to discover the nature of self and reality.


Alison has a background in biology with a university degree in physiology, which led to a deep interest in the function of the mind. She has studied for over 23 years with some of the great Tibetan Buddhist teachers of our time. She has learnt authentic methods of meditation practice, passed down from the Buddha through an unbroken lineage of great masters to our present-day teachers. The teachings on the mind highlighted the importance of awareness in our daily activities and how our inherent nature remains untouched by the drama and intensity of the busy lives we lead. Alison discovered the wisdom of Buddhist teachings is far-reaching and applicable to modern-day life, helping us deal with the stresses and strains of daily life.
